Progress Monitoring

Monitoring your Child's Progress

As we are registered as a Highland Council Partner Centre for the provision of pre-school education, we are required to complete a profile of each child's individual development between the ages of 3 to 5 years. This profile will be based on a series of targets, assessments and observations which are pre-set by the Education Department. As a parent of a child attending our pre-school room you will receive a copy of your child's profile at the end of the pre-school year. Another copy  of your child's profile will be passed after consultation with the parent to the next educational establishment that your child attends.

In addition to this requirement for 3 to 5 year olds we also follow 'Pre-Birth to Three' guidelines in our baby and toddler rooms with children aged between 0 and 3 years. We feel that by following these developmental guidlines at a younger age, we are preparing our babies and toddlers for their adventures in the pre-school room.

CONFIDENTIALITY

All assessments, reports and information regarding your child will be treated with the strictest of confidence by all members of staff. This information will be available for parents/carers to view at any time. The only exception being if we have concerns regarding the wellbeing of any child.

We aim to make a significant contribution to your child's development and we are here to help you, as the parent. if you are worried or concerned about your child please feel free to talk to key members of staff in the strictest of confidence.
